Detroit Bold has always been focused on the revitalization of our great city. From the days at AJ’s Music Cafe in Ferndale, to the Million Bag March campaign, we’ve reached out to our communities and helped where we could. In the past we’ve raised funds through our Million Bag March and contributed to local Community Cafes. This year, we’ve award $2,500 to Nandi’s Knowledge Cafe in Highland Park, $2,500 to Motor City Blight Busters, and $1,000 to Detroit Sip.
Today, on #GivingTuesday, we’re contributing $500 to The Highland Park Fire Department to be put towards helping the family of a 12 year old boy, a straight A student at DPS and emerging football player, who tragically lost his life in a house fire. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of the affected and we hope our contribution with help with their cause.
Donations can be made at the Highland Park Fire Department or at One Detroit Credit union under the name “Carter Savings Account.”
